The first in a series of concept albums with a unifying theme, Sunshine in the Morning is Clown Vomit’s first release on their own label. The album is centered around an unnamed and unmentioned protagonist who is starting to come to grips with the meaning of existence. While staring at the rising morning sun for several moments, a hallucination occurs in which all of the truths of the universe are revealed to him. A mysterious figure comes to him in the night and reveals that his creative potential is being destroyed by those around him who do not understand the mysteries of Clown Vomit. Soon he is forced to admit his undenying love for Theodore Roosevelt as well as his obsessive cleanliness to a society who has given up on him. Later on a battle is waged in his mind as he realizes that a musical conspiracy has assembled in the form of The Instigation.
